A Grocery Store Christmas Song

Walnuts stuffed on a crowded shelf
Hot buns calling to your nose
Carols being sung by a radio
And folks dressed up like they’re cold

Everybody knows a turkey and some
Stuffing help to make the season right
Little kids with their eyes all algow
Sneak candy into carts out of sight

They know that Daddy is going to pay
He’s loaded with lots of other food
And every mother
riled is going to buy
A party tray and some apple pie.
A lady offering these
Sample meats to kids from
One to nine-two

Altho’ it’s been said many times
Many ways
“Would you like to donate?”
